The ‘XYZ’ brand wines constitute modern styles of Semillon, Chardonnay and Shiraz. New Generation wines from the Hunter Valley.
Chardonnay grapes were sourced from two established Hunter Valley vineyards, one in Pokolbin and the other one in the Upper Hunter.
A great vintage for Hunter whites is 2019!! Moderate temperatures led to very even ripening although a couple of weeks earlier than usual. Great flavours and sugar/acid balance.
Colouring of light straw, aromas of nectarine and white peach stone-fruit. Mild toasty oak sits under and in harmony with the fruit profile on the palate. Great freshness from the slatey acidity and great drive on the finish.
