Meerea Park’s first wine released in 1991 was a Chardonnay, with a release occurring in most vintages.
2022 was a great vintage for white wines in the Hunter. Chardonnay was alongside Semillon in the quality stakes. Great natural acid retention the key to the quality.
Three Hunter Valley Chardonnay vineyards. One in the Upper Hunter and two in Pokolbin.
Textbook Chardonnay aromas of white peach, nectarine and grapefruit. French oak spice to match. The medium-bodied palate has measured stone-fruit, citrus and tropical fruit flavours. There is a beautiful balance with refreshing acid and a great length of flavour.
