The best parcel of Semillon grapes each vintage are reserved for the ‘Alexander Munro’ label. In 2022, sourced off neighboring vineyards, we received two parcels very worthy of the classification. Consequently, we have decided to bottle the second parcel as another reserve wine and release young.

2022, although cool was a great vintage, particularly for white grape varieties. Cool and wet conditions prevailed, which suited the delicate Semillon variety. Retained natural acid was tremendous which equals great cellaring potential.

Situated along the Hermitage Road sand flat in Pokolbin, the ‘Casuarina’ vineyard is the fruit source for this second individual vineyard release.

A very pale colour with a hint of green and the nose shows classic lemon & lime zest aromas. The palate mirrors the nose with citrus flavours supported by mouth-watering acidity. Fresh and alive with an excellent length of flavour.
