'Alexander Munro' Shiraz
'Alexander Munro' Shiraz, named in honour of winemaker Rhys Eather's great-great grandfather is the Meerea Park flagship wine and is made from our best parcel of 'individual vineyard' Shiraz each vintage. It is 100% Shiraz made from old-vines and matured in French oak. It is made in a style that demands cellaring to show its best. There was no 2000 vintage released.

'Terracotta' Shiraz
'Terracotta' Shiraz like the Semillon is made from fruit grown on the red basalt/clay soils of Pokolbin. A small amount of the white grape variety Viognier is co-fermented with the Shiraz before being matured in French oak. The first release was from the 2000 vintage and it quickly gained a 5 star ranking in the GOLD BOOK by Robin Bradley.

'Hell Hole' Shiraz
The 'Hell Hole' label was inspired by the severe drought conditions of the 2003 vintage. The word Pokol (as in Pokolbin) means purgatory or hell in Hungarian and it is believed many an early settler to the area were taken aback by the extreme climatic conditions they faced with temperatures that can range between freezing and 50°c and floods and drought.

Shiraz Viognier
The 2001 vintage was the first Shiraz Viognier blend from the Hunter Valley and still remains the benchmark of its style. Evolution over the vintages has meant that the Shiraz is now fully co-fermented with the Viognier adding greater complexity, finesse and drinkability to the wine.

Shiraz
This is our entry level Shiraz and a great value wine at that. Even though it is exceptionally well priced, it still receives our full attention in the winery enjoying maturation in used French and American oak barrels. A blend from vineyards in the Hunter Valley and the cool climate Hilltops region in New South Wales.
